Ideally, we'd develop a compelling vision and then our strategy and team topology would flow from that. This is not what happens in the overwhelming majority of cases I see.
Which to develop first: the vision or the strategy?
If forced to choose, develop the strategy first. Once we develop a compelling vision, we’ll adjust the strategy accordingly in the next quarterly update. And we’ll benefit from the additional clarity in the meantime.
